UK Unemployment falls to 1.9 million, ONS reports

New figures from the Office of National Statistics (ONS) show that unemployment in the UK has fallen to 1.9 million’ its lowest level in six years. Meanwhile separate data from the ONS revealed that wage growth is set to continue to outpace inflation in 2015. This comes as Bank of England policymakers voted to hold interest rates steady in January. Property consultant Simon Morris suggests that brighter economic conditions could spur growth in the UK property market throughout 2015.
